The Manila Film Center has a checkered history to say the least.
On November 17, 1981, a construction accident claimed the lives of 169 workers. They fell to their deaths when scaffolding collapsed. Many were trapped in quick-drying wet cement.
The complete history of this building is worth researching and reading up on. I won’t include it here because this isn’t a video about politics.
I was interested in the building’s architecture and wanted to take a tour of the interior.
The security guards weren’t too keen on that idea.
