Thought I would share my morning with you. It’s a beautiful start to the day here in the Philippines.

Mark,
I’m enjoying your vids! I’m so glad you did not massacre all of those roosters for a barbeque as I suggested in my previous comment (which I wrote under the influence). I am looking forward to seeing the beach and the ocean near your condo. I don’t know if it makes for compelling video, but us 9 to 5 working stiffs envy a man of leisure than can spend a few hours a day drinking cold beer on a warm beach. Maybe you could incorporate a review of the local beers along with their prices and compare that with other beers you have had in SE Asia. It seems everyone has an opinion of their favorite beer.
Thanks!
The real Philippines away from the tourist area. You are dead on with your views and opinions. Been married to a Filipina for 32 years. I understand.
Alan,
That’s a great idea about the beer reviews. Many of my viewers have never been over here to this part of the world so an honest review of the local beers and brews would add value.
I’ve got a video to edit that shows the beach near our place. And those roosters, man, those are prized possessions. They’re destined for the cock fighting ring. If I tried to barbecue them roosters, it would cause chaos. I might get away with poaching one of these hens that occasionally walk up into the room uninvited. Ha!
Steve,
Thanks for the comment. Yep, I think most folks’ perception of the Philippines is the typical one-week vacation in Boracay. Only us guys who are with Filipinas or live here know the real culture and way of life. Everyone who blasts me in the comments on YouTube are folks who have never even been to the Philippines. Their comments crack me up because they are in the mindset that the Philippines is the same as the U.S. They’re amazed and shocked by the sight of our CR. They think I’m punishing my wife for making her live in the $28 per month condo. Hell, she’s the one who picked it out! Ha! I love it. I’ve never laughed so hard in my life at some of the comments. We really need to start mandating that kids in the U.S. travel to other countries as part of the High School curriculum.

Take care and keep in touch, my friend.
